Membership

Membership in the Spokane Regional Task Force is simple. With a contribution of $25.00, an individual may obtain a one-year membership to the Task Force. This annual contribution gains the member access to regular e-mail updates about human relations events in the Spokane region, discounted attendance to community events and much more.

Through membership, community members are ensuring that the Task Force is able to best provide services and resources to the community in the area of human relations through:

  • Partnership
  • Leadership
  • Learning &
  • Action

Scholarships

Each year, the Spokane Regional Task Force on Human Relations strives to encourage the tenets of partnership, leadership, learning and action in the youth of our community by awarding a scholarship focused on the mission of the Task Force.

One scholarship will be given to a high school student who exemplifies the mission of our organization and through their actions has worked to further human relations in the Spokane Region.

One scholarship will be given to a local college student who has, through their actions, worked to further the mission of our organization.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts create opportunities for both the Spokane Regional Task Force on Human relations and our donors. Determining what gift is right for you is just as important as making the gift. There are several easy giving options from which you can choose — from naming us as a beneficiary in your will to a more complex trust arrangement.  Ultimately the best plan for you will balance what you wish to accomplish for yourself, your family, and your charitable interests in your overall estate and financial plans.

Establishing an Endowment

An endowment establishes a permanent fund, which provides perpetual, annual support for the Spokane Regional Task Force on Human Relations. Your gift to establish an endowment creates a lasting legacy in your name or the name of someone you wish to honor. Your endowment benefits a SRTFHR priority of your choice, or you may give the SRTFHR discretion to apply the payout from your gift to one of its highest priorities. The concept is simple:

  • All endowed funds are established by a written gift use agreement between the donors and SRTFHR;
  • Your gift is invested prudently, in accordance with SRFTHR policies, so that over time the endowment’s buying power is preserved;
  • Each year, a percentage of your endowment’s market value is used to benefit the area you designate in your gift use agreement;
  • Your endowment will be used for the purpose that you designate, consistent with SRTFHR policies;

Endowments Support Diverse Purposes

The minimum amount to establish a named endowment fund is $25,000.

For more information on how to establish an endowed fund, contact the Treasurer.
